The oldest association in Chios is the Progressive Association of Vrontados (F.O.V.), which was found in 1924. It has its own building with some offices, an exhibition room and a cultural museum. F.O.V. releases an annual newspaper, “Vrontados News”. The association also organises some exhibitions every year and has already released a big amount of books. Untill today, at F.O.V. you can find a part of the library, where you can borrow books aswell as centres, where you can learn about photography, traditional dances and a lot about culture.
